Following the success of the International program at the Canadian International School (CIS). At the time, there were rising needs of many parents and students in Ho Chi Minh City and suburban provinces as well as across the country for a bilingual international education environment. Bilingual Canadian International School (BCIS) was formed teaching the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training program and taking advantage of Canadian International Education Program to fulfill parents' needs.
On November 4, 2012, Khoi Nguyen Education Holdings held the inauguration ceremony of BCIS at Phu My Hung campus.
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is an important partner of the Canadian International School System. The international teachers referred and selected by the TDSB are fully qualified to teach international programs and meet Canadian curriculum practices. The Vietnamese program is taught by experienced, dedicated, and creative MoET qualified teachers. The teachers work together and cooperate to bring high-quality education, ensuring the students are comprehensively developed with the knowledge and skills.
At BCIS, the MoET program combined with the Toronto (Canada) education program focuses on comprehensive training and development for students with the following purposes:
Develop physically and aptitude for students
Develop students' independent thinking
Develop self-learning and discovery skills
Development, formation of initiative, and creativity
Develop social awareness, compassion, and fairness
Thereby forming important skills of the era for the students:
Teamwork and independent skills
Organizational and applicability skills
Thinking and problem-solving skills
Adaptability and self-tuning skills
Leadership skills and global citizenship qualities
The BCIS's long-term strategic development orientation is to effectively combine 2 education programs in Vietnam and Canada with the Philosophy "Roots and Wings". Generations of students who have studied, trained, and developed at BCIS over the years are proof of the BCIS core values.
Since BCIS was established, BCIS has had 6 generations of students completing the National High School program with the graduation rate of 100% over the years. The majority of graduates received valuable scholarships, invitations, and admission to prestigious universities around the world such as Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Singapore and a small number of students chose to study at international universities or national universities in Vietnam.
As a member of the CISS system, in the school year 2020-2021, BCIS is honored to be a member of the Council of International Schools (CoIS), helping BCIS to improve our high standards to meet the requirements of CoIS.
In the 2021-2022 school year, BCIS is honored to officially launch the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program mapped to the MoET program, opening up more chances for students to study in the bilingual educational environment.
